He led the club by stranding 80.5-percent of his inherited runners (33-for-41) and limiting hitters to a .208 batting average. He held opponents scoreless in 63 of his 78 relief appearances and struck out at least one batter in 51 of his 78 outings. </div><br /><div><br />Originally selected by the Cubs in the eighth round of the 1998 First-Year Player Draft (scout: Steve Fuller), Ohman owns a 4-4 career mark with a 4.15 ERA (57 ER/123.2 IP) in 164 relief appearances. He has limited opposing hitters to a .217 batting average (101-for-465), including a .183 mark (39-for-213) against left-handed hitters.
